Spamalot

Matunuck -- The one, the only, the hillarious Monty Python's Spamalot has arrived at Theatre By The Sea!

Cast of Spamalot. Center: Al Bundonis as King Arthur, above: Haley Swindal as The Lady in the Lake.

Based on Monty Python's movie The Holy Grail, the Tony Award winning musical includes fan favorite scenes such as "Brave Sir Robin," "The Knights Who Say Ni," and "Bring Out Your Dead."

With such a large cast, costume design can easily be overlooked, but Kurt Alger's costumes for this production are perfect, bringing individuality and instant audience recognition to each character.

Haley Swindal (The Lady in the Lake) steals the show with her amazing voice and humorous numbers such as "The Diva's Lament." Patrons will remember her as Mrs Banks in this year's TBTS record breaking production of Mary Poppins.

Al Bundonis plays a confident and regal King Arthur, while Brad Bradley, who was recently Burt in TBTS's Mary Poppins, is a sympathetic yet comical Patsy. Together they will have audiences in stitches as they try to recruit knights, find a shrubbery, and search for the Holy Grail.

Audiences are sure to enjoy "The Fisch Schlapping Song," "The Song That Goes Like This," and "Knights of the Round Table," and will be singing along to "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life."

Spamalot is playing at Theatre By The Sea now through September 7th. For tickets, showtimes, and more information, visit www.theatrebythesea.biz or call the box office at 401-782-8587.
